Can you imagine if your office, in addition to desks and computers, also had food growing? The Pasona Group office building, located in Tokyo, Japan, allow employees to grow and harvest their own food at work.
The project was created by NY firm Kono Designs and has a facade with vertical gardens filled with seasonal plants, as well as an internal green area of nearly 4,000 square meters, with more than 200 species of fruit trees, rice and vegetables. The best part is that most of the produce goes straight to the company cafeteria, allowing workers to consume fresh fruits and vegetables, harvested right in their workplace.

Ahmed Mohamed hasn’t had the best time here in the United States. Ahmed is the 14-year-old high school freshman who was arrested and removed in handcuffs from MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas, for bringing a homemade clock to class. Eventually, the Irving Police Department determined that Ahmed, “had no intent to alarm anyone with the digital clock he assembled,” and released the young man without charges.
Not only did the school never apologize for their actions, they almost ignored their amazing gaff and stood on the principle of ‘student safety’ in a letter issued to parents the next day.

Droughts are are never really associated with anything very positive, in fact quite the opposite, famine, poverty and misery are often results of areas that are lacking rainfall. Sometimes people will often refer to a very unfulfilling part of their life as having a “dry spell” needless to say nothing really good can come out of a drought. Unless of course you are along the Grijalva river in Chiapas, Mexico.
Chiapas has recently been enduring one of the worst droughts in their region, causing the main water reserve, the Nezahualcoyotl reservoir, to take quite a hit, dropping about 82 feet from average water levels.

The earth rotates around its axis and everything that is on its surface rotates along with it. Moreover, the atmosphere around you has the same movement and we also spin with it. So why can’t we feel anything?

First of all, in order for us to perceive any movement, we need a point of reference that is fixed and/or external to the moving body, which makes it possible to see the changes of position in space. For example, when in a moving car, we can clearly see the movement through the windows, which makes us feel like we are moving.

E-Volo is developing an aircraft that could most appropriately be considered a fusion of a helicopter and a drone. Basically, they want to create a drone that is big and powerful enough to carry 2 people. The group is currently develping a working manned prototype of the equipment, which they call “Volocopter”.
The aircraft can seat two people and has a circular structure on top with 18 rotors assembled with independent propellers. The machine can take off vertically and fly in any direction in a very agile way. It can be controlled by a joystick from inside the aircraft or remotely by someone on the ground.
