Mitsubishi Regional Jet takes flight
The Mitsubishi Regional Jet just completed its first flight test yesterday. The MRJ aircraft took off from Nagoya International Airport in Japan, where it flew along the Pacific coast for 90 minutes before landing safely back in the airport.
“Operational performance of the MRJ was far better than expected. We had a significantly comfortable flight,” said Pilot Yasumura, who served as captain.
According to statements, the MRJ 90’s flight tests will be transferred to the United States in the second quarter of 2016 for its final stages of development and certification. This second phase will be held on the company premises in Grant County International Airport at Moses Lake in Washington State.
